Congressman Andy Kim represents New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District. An experienced national security expert and practitioner, Rep. Kim served as the Iraq Director on the National Security Council under President Obama. He worked on the ground in Kabul as a civilian advisor to Generals David Petraeus and John Allen and has served in various roles at the Pentagon, State Department, and USAID.
Rep. Kim has dedicated his professional career to national security policy and using the tools of diplomacy to end conflict. He is committed to maintaining Israel’s qualitative military edge, and plans to advocate for bilateral military aid to maintain Israel’s military superiority in the region. He also understands that defending Israel’s national security includes continuing US aid to civilians on the ground. In Congress, Rep. Kim looks forward to being a tireless and enthusiastic advocate for the two-state solution. He currently sits on the Armed Services Committee, where he is a member of the Subcommittee on Readiness and the Subcommittee on Intelligence, Emerging Threats, & Capabilities. He is a cosponsor of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
