Congressman Bill Foster has represented Illinois’ 11th Congressional District since 2013, and has served in Congress in 2009, previously representing the 14th District. Prior to serving in the House, the Congressman was a high-energy physicist who worked on the team that discovered the top quark, and before that he and his younger brother founded a lighting equipment company. He serves on the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, and the Committee on Financial Services, where he chairs the Task Force on Artificial Intelligence.
Congressman Foster has been a JStreetPAC endorsee since 2010 and is a champion of J Street’s priorities on the Hill. In the last Congress, he signed onto letters calling for the restoration of aid to UNRWA and the PA and reaffirming support for the two-state solution. This session, he cosponsored H.Res. 326, which gets Congress on the record reaffirming support for the two-state solution and opposing annexation and settlement expansion.
