Congressman Dan Kildee represents Michigan’s Fifth Congressional District, which encompasses Flint, Saginaw, and Bay City. Before serving in Congress, Rep. Kildee was the co-founder and president of the Center for Community Progress, a non-profit organization leading the charge on urban revitalization efforts nationwide. He also founded Michigan’s first land bank, the Genesee County Land Bank. He sits on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, and serves in leadership as Chief Deputy Whip.
Rep. Kildee has been a JStreetPAC endorsee since 2014 and is a champion of J Street’s issues on the Hill. In the last Congress, he supported the majority of J Street’s legislative agenda, signing onto letters that reaffirmed support for the two-state solution, opposed demolitions, and called for the restoration of Palestinian aid. He was an early cosponsor of H.Res. 326, which gets Congress on the record reaffirming support for the two-state solution and opposing annexation and settlement expansion.
