Danny Davis

House - Incumbent

First elected to the House of Representatives Congress in 1996, Congressman Danny Davis represents Illinois’ 7th Congressional District and has been a longtime supporter of Israel and a two-state solution. Prior to serving in Congress, Rep. Davis worked as a government clerk, a high school teacher and a non-profit executive. The Congressman also served on both the Chicago City Council and the Cook County Board of Commissioners. In Congress, he chairs the Worker and Family Support Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee, and he serves in the Oversight and Reform Committee.

Congressman Davis has consistently been a steadfast supporter of US leadership to bring about a lasting peace in the Middle East, and a strong supporter of J Street in particular. In the last session, he cosponsored House Resolution 326, which reaffirmed Congress’s commitment to the two-state solution and opposed settlement expansion and annexation.
