Earl Blumenauer

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D, OR-03)

Rep. Blumenauer was born, raised and educated in Portland, Oregon, and has been involved in Oregon politics since being elected to the state legislature in 1973 when he was 23 years old. A strong environmentalist, he serves as the second ranking Democrat on the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming and as a senior member on both the Budget and Ways and Means Committees. Blumenauer is one of JStreetPAC's earliest endorsees and we are proud to have endorsed him in each of the past five election cycles. He is a champion for Israeli-Palestinian peace and has stated that an agreement will require “active, rigorous, sustained, and thoughtful American leadership.”
