Congressman Perlmutter was first elected to represent Colorado’s Seventh Congressional District in 2006, when he won an impressive victory in one of the most competitive races in the United States. Congressman Perlmutter has continued to build a reputation for working across the aisle over the years, and a Georgetown University report recently recognized him as the most bipartisan member of Colorado’s delegation and the 23rd-most bipartisan Representative in the entire Congress. He serves on the Rules, Transportation, and Science, Space, and Technology Committees.
Rep. Perlmutter is a strong supporter of the State of Israel and believes in active US diplomatic leadership in the Middle East. Perlmutter has been a voice on behalf of human rights and the democratic values that lie at the foundation of the US-Israel relationship. He also voted for the Iran nuclear deal and has been a consistent advocate of a two-state solution. He was an early cosponsor of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
