Since 1992, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has represented Texas’s 30th Congressional District, which spans the Dallas metropolitan area. The Congresswoman serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and as the Chairwoman of the House Science and Technology Committee. She served as the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus during the 107th Congress. Rep. Johnson, a nurse by trade, served in the Texas Legislature before her election to Congress and has developed a reputation in Congress as a strong advocate for international human rights. She is a passionate supporter of a two-state solution and a strong ally of J Street. She was an early cosponsor of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
