Rep. Gerry Connolly represents Virginia’s 11th District. A graduate of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Rep. Connolly worked for the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations from 1979 to 1989 before going into local politics, sitting on – and later chairing – the Fairfax County Board for nearly fourteen years.
During his time in office he has been a strong supporter of a two-state solution and a strong critic of Trump’s stance on Israel. Throughout his time in Congress, Rep. Connolly has been a public champion and one of the foremost leaders on J Street’s issues. In 2019, he introduced House Resolution 326, which reaffirmed Congress’s commitment to a two-state solution and opposed settlement expansion and annexation.
