For over a decade, Congresswoman Gwen Moore has represented Wisconsin’s 4th Congressional District which encompasses Milwaukee and its working-class suburbs of Cudahy, St. Francis, South Milwaukee, and West Milwaukee. A Wisconsin native who has spent most of her life in Milwaukee, Rep. Moore served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1993 to 2004 before being elected to Congress. During the 113th Congress, Rep. Moore served as co-chair of the Women’s Caucus and has been a longtime friend of the Jewish community. She serves on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Rep. Moore possesses an in-depth knowledge of the Middle East and is a strong advocate of a two-state solution. Throughout her time in Congress, she has been a close ally of J Street, and she was one of the earliest cosponsors of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
