Representative Jackie Speier is running for her sixth full term in Congress representing California’s 14th Congressional District. Prior to her election to Congress in 2008, Rep. Speier served on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and as a California state legislator. A strong supporter of J Street’s mission, she has traveled extensively in Israel and the Palestinian territories. Rep. Speier has been a vocal advocate of a two-state solution, and serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She has been a public champion of J Street’s issues in Congress, and she was one of the earliest cosponsors of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
