Congressman Harder unseated a four-term Republican incumbent to represent California’s 10th Congressional District. A native of the Central Valley, Rep. Harder earned degrees in business and public policy before teaching at Modesto Junior College. He finished second out of eight candidates in California’s top-two primary and went on to defeat the incumbent by five points in this narrowly Clinton-voting district. In Congress, Rep. Harder sits on the House Agriculture Committee and the Education and Labor Committee. He is also a member of the New Democrat Coalition.
Congressman Harder understands that as America’s strongest and closest ally in the Middle East, Israel’s security is essential to America’s national interest, the Jewish people, and the Middle East. Congressman Harder was an early supporter of House Resolution 326, reaffirming Congress’s support for a two-state solution.
