Congresswoman Julia Brownley has represented California’s 26th Congressional District since 2013. Before running for Congress, Brownley served on the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education and in the California State Assembly. In Congress, Rep. Brownley serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Veterans’ Affairs Committee and is the chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Health.
During her time in Congress, Rep. Brownley has been an advocate for issues important to pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans. The Congresswoman supported the Iran nuclear deal. In the last Congress, she supported the vast majority of J Street’s legislative priorities and cosponsored House Resolution 326, which reaffirmed Congress’s commitment to a two-state solution and opposed settlement expansion and annexation.
