First elected to Congress in 1995, Rep. Lloyd Doggett represents Texas’s 35th Congressional District, which spans from San Antonio to Austin. Rep. Doggett is a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, and has earned a reputation as a passionate advocate for reform of the tax code. He had a lifelong career in public service, serving as both a Texas State Senator and a justice on the Texas Supreme Court, before being elected to Congress.
A four-time JStreetPAC endorsee, Rep. Doggett has been a steadfast supporter of Israel and one of J Street’s most public champions. The Congressman was an early and vocal supporter of the Iran Deal, and he supported our entire legislative agenda in the last Congress. He was one of the earliest cosponsors of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to a two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
