Patrick Murphy

Senate - Open

Rep. Patrick Murphy is running for the Senate seat left vacated by Marco Rubio. He was first elected to represent Florida’s 18th Congressional District in 2012. A member of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s “Frontline” program in 2014, Rep. Murphy ran uncontested in the Democratic primary and went on to win in the general election by a 20-point margin. In Congress, Rep. Murphy is a member of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where he serves on the Subcommittee on Department of Defense Intelligence and Overhead Architecture and the Subcommittee on NSA and Cybersecurity. A previous JStreetPAC endorsee, Rep. Murphy is a strong ally of Israel and an advocate of the two-state solution in Congress. Murphy has continued to fight for issues important to pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans throughout his time in Congress. He supported the JCPOA and has singled out its implementation as a top priority. JStreetPAC is proud to endorse Rep. Murphy in his bid for Senate in 2016.
