Representative Peter Welch is service his seventh term as Vermont’s at-large member of Congress. Before his election to Congress in 2006, Rep. Welch served as a public defender and state senator. The Congressman serves on the Energy and Commerce and Oversight and Government Reform Committees and is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Rep. Welch has been a public champion for J Street. He has been a frequent supporter of J Street’s legislative priorities, and he was an early cosponsor of House Resolution 326, which reaffirms Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposes settlement expansion and annexation.
