Sean Patrick Maloney

House - Incumbent

Rep. Sean Maloney served as a senior aide to President Bill Clinton and went on to start a successful technology company before working for New York Governors Spitzer and Patterson. In 2012 Maloney challenged Tea Party favorite Nan Hayworth in New York’s 18th Congressional District, which is based in the Hudson Valley and includes the cities of Poughkeepsie and Newburgh. Maloney ran an incredibly focused campaign and ultimately upset Hayworth, winning 52 percent of the vote. Through his work in the Clinton Administration, Maloney developed a nuanced understanding of the situation on the ground in Israel and the need for the US to lead in promoting a two-state solution. Maloney’s wins in 2012 and 2014 were major victories for the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement and JStreetPAC is proud to support him again in 2016.
