Representative Zoe Lofgren has represented California’s 16th Congressional District since 1994. Prior to her election to Congress, Rep. Lofgren served on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors from 1981 to 1994 and worked on the staff of her predecessor, Rep. Don Edwards, from 1970 to 1978. In Congress, she chairs both the Commitee on House Administration and the California Democratic Congressional Delegation and serves on the Judiciary Committee and the Committee on Science, Space & Technology.
Rep. Lofgren has been a strong supporter of J Street’s legislative priorities, backing continued aid to both Israel and the Palestinian Authority. She was an early cosponsor of House Resolution 326, which reaffirmed Congress’s commitment to two-state solution and opposed settlement expansion and annexation.
