The group hopes to unseat senators who opposed the Iran deal.

The liberal Jewish Middle East policy group J Street says it “will focus this year on unseating” Sens. Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), “who led opposition to the Iran nuclear deal.”
The group’s political director, Ben Shnider, said of the two Republicans: “They were two of the biggest detractors of the deal. … Iran is being defanged … and they stood in the way.”
In Wisconsin, J Street is backing former Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI). “The group has yet to settle on an opponent to Kirk,” but has backed Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) in the past.
